Austin Northeast Rotary - Four Avenues of Service

True to the vision of the founding fathers of Rotary, the Rotary Club of Austin Northeast is the most diverse Rotary Club in the Austin Area. To participate in the life of our club is like being on a grand tour. We are blessed with a wide range of contributions from an ethnic, spiritual, age, gender and vocational nature.

Such diversity leads to an on-going fellowship that allows each one of us to become more able to live by the Rotary motto: “Service Above Self.” Each of us brings to discussions, service projects, social gatherings and regular programs particularly insightful contributions, missing in many organizations. Invariably, visitors to our club and new members state that a strong appeal to them is our sense of relationship, mutually shared aspirations, and hope for a high quality of life for not only our geographical area, but the entire world.

We encourage individuals to visit with us and enjoy the spirit of Rotary, alive and vigorous. You will encounter a committed and energetic group:

Age range: low 20’s to low 80’s

Religion: Christian (Protestant and Catholic), Jewish, Muslim, other

Ethnicity: Mexican-American, African American, Caucasian

Profession: Small business owners, mid to high level supervisors, teachers and preachers, retirees and those just beginning building careers, lawyers and a judge, bankers and investment leaders, social-service related managers

We integrate fun times with our major service projects (see Community Service page); however, fellowship is also intentional with specific planned outings: Round Rock Express baseball team, ice cream socials, pizza parties, morning coffees, Super Bowl parties—all intentionally family friendly.

And finally, when any member experiences family, health, or work-related problems we are a support group who encourages, supports, or grants a leave-of-absence as is needed and desired.
